Catholic University

Catholic University serves as one of the premier facilities in the D.C. area and the CUA Athletic Staff has always been extremely professional and helpful. Zero Gravity and Catholic University first teamed up in Spring 2014 and have been working together ever since. There have been many #ZGInstaClassics and will certainly be more to come!

The Franny Murray Court floor has 2 hardwood courts that were newly resurfaced in 2017. Along with the floor, are the new stadium style bleachers, which were also updated Summer of 2017. There are an additional 2 courts inside the DuFour Athletic Center. The gymnasium has played host to NCAA tournament games, the Harlem Globetrotters, ESPN and 20/20. The gym is not only home to the Cardinal basketball and volleyball squads but is also the hub of activities for summer AAU basketball tournaments and the Catholic intramural program.

The DuFour Athletic Center is an impressive 144,000 square foot building and has been open since 1985. This facility is used for athletic and recreational activities including varsity sports, intramurals, dance and fitness in addition to youth summer basketball camp.

The DuFour Athletic Center is located 6 blocks from CUA Brookland – Metro stop and is across Taylor Road from the main campus.

DuFour Athletic Center includes: a 2,000 seat main arena home to CUA’s basketball and volleyball teams; six lane, 25-yard competition pool with separate warm-down pool and moveable bulkhead; weight room; athletic training room; two fully equipped locker rooms with saunas; two batting cages; three racquetball/handball courts; indoor track; meeting rooms; CUA Athletics Hall of Fame room, dance studio; and office for athletic department personnel. The building also features a multi-sport backcourt which is used for volleyball tournaments, intramurals and varsity practices when inclement weather prevents outside sessions.

Parking for all athletic events is available free of charge in the DuFour Center parking lot.
